Best Community run Trail
I was so impressed the first time I rode on the rail trail. I kept wondering when this thing was going to come to an end or turn into a brambled single track. When I found out it was 23 miles long I really couldn't believe it. It is a real gem and its right out the back door

AS of 6-28-12 The State has provided a Safety Worker to direct traffic on the Rail Trail under the I-89 overpass for the duration of the bridge repair project. Workers are uniformed in standard highway gear. You will see the workers on the trail during construction working hours to monitor safety conditions.

As of 6-23-12 the trails is open. Closures will mainly be during work hours Mon-Fri 6am til 5pm. Crews are working overhead repairing the I-89 bridge. If you see the orange signs hanging from the barricades on either side of the bridge (see images below) assume that workers are above or nearby – workers may not always be visible… be cautious!

6-19-12 the trail is closed near I-89 bridge on Riverside Drive. Bridge crews are working overhead. Not sure how long will be closed. I talked with superintendent and he said will keep me up to date. The first trail closure… Continue reading
