NHSA Easter Seals Ride-In this weekend February 3rd-5th.
The 2nd race in The Great North Woods Vintage Snowmobile Race Series sponsored by LaPerle’s IGA PLUS is being held as scheduled this Saturday, February 4, but it is being relocated from Northern Tire in Colebrook to Farr Road in Pittsburg, the location of this year’s first race.Use caution in other areas of the state as there is water and ice. Recommended to Stay off Lakes and Ponds where ice depth is unknown.
Pittsburg- 2″ new snow on a 6-8″ base in higher elevations and 2-3″ in lower. Grooming is ongoing, and conditions range from moderate to great. Snowmobile Trail Conditions
January 20, 2012 Update
Trails are starting to open up. Early season conditions. As always use caution.
Pittsburg- Trails are 100% open 2” new snow on a snow covered icy base. Grooming is ongoing, and conditions range from moderate to great. Watch for water bars, and rocks South of town and there could still be some problem areas and some areas are still closed and are posted as such. Please pay attention to all signage! There are still logging operations going on. Perry Stream Rd is closed to snowmobile traffic and stay on the side of Magalloway Rd.; some shared roads and are posted 10 mph.
